Sustainable Procurement: Mapping The Way Forward
We’re witnessing a growing recognition of the urgency for sustainable practices within our industry. GBTA research shows that a majority of buyers are now assessing their suppliers based on sustainability, and one-third of travel buyers are selecting suppliers who align with their sustainability goals.
To address this growing demand, GBTA and the GBTA Foundation, in collaboration with the Sustainability Committee, marked a significant step forward for our industry with the launch of the Sustainable Procurement Standards. This initiative is designed to equip corporate travel buyers with needed tools to make informed, sustainable procurement decisions.
This session will illustrate the movement the industry is already seeing in the 8 months since the Sustainable Procurement Standards have launched, the challenges we still face, and what's next for the sustainable procurement journey.
